MRKRYL

Meranda Curial, aka MRKRYL, is an electronic music producer from Calgary, AB, Canada. She is well known for having a plethora of self-releases that have been continually receptive and supported by the SoundCloud community involved with underground trap, downtempo and wave. Her sound can be described as a powerful expression of emotion that is coated with driving synth lines, cinematic atmospheres and a lot of unique vocal work. MRKRYL only started producing electronic music a couple of years ago and she has already built a successful catalogue of releases through Spotify as well as gaining support from San Holo’s radio show with bitbird, Pictureplane, and barnacle boi to name a few.

This year, she has had the opportunity to do an official remix on Pictureplane’s new album “Degenerate” which we can expect to hear in the near future as well as a collaborative album release with Sorsari. As MRKRYL continues her endeavors with music, the attention of the electronic music culture in Alberta has been catching on to her sound while she continues to flourish within the communities of the internet and SoundCloud. We can expect to see more performances from her in 2019 with a lot of exciting releases as her sound continues to grow and evolve.
