CODE OF CONDUCT

Borealis Festival is committed to creating an amazing experience, that is safe, inclusive, comfortable, and memorable for all people no matter where they come from, what they look like, how old they are, or who they love. 

In order to provide an environment where all attendees can enjoy the festival free of worry, we have instituted an event wide Code of Conduct.

The following actions can result in a warning or ejection:

  • Irresponsible use of alcohol or illegal substances

  • Open alcohol outside of camp

  • Accessing restricted areas without proper passes.

  • Physical or Emotional Harassment of any kind such as taunting, abusive or disruptive language and gestures

  • Offensive or appropriated imagery or symbolism

  • Littering or polluting the site, campsite

The following actions can result in immediate ejection:

  • Aggressive or violent behavior or engaging in any action that may harm, endanger, threaten or bring discomfort to anyone either physically or emotionally 

  • Possession, use or sale of any illegal drugs.

  • Damage, destruction, vandalism or theft of any property.

Additionally:

  • Guns, weapons, illegal substances, glass and other materials deemed dangerous by security personnel are prohibited, visit the FAQ for a full list of prohibited items

  • All persons entering the festival will be expected to abide by all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws.

Individuals participating in such behaviour who are uncooperative or persistently offending will be removed from the site. In certain situations, the offender may be arrested.

Please notify event staff, Medical personnel, Harm Reduction or Security if you observe violations of this code of conduct and our Borealis team will work quickly to take care of the problem!
